Lore is a meme app for groups of friends. This policy explains what Lore stores and why.
What Lore stores
Your display name: the name you type when you join a room.
An anonymous account ID, created automatically so your votes and posts stay yours. Lore never asks for your email, phone number or password.
Memes you post: the captions, the format you picked and any friend you put in the meme.
Your votes, room memberships, reports and blocks.
The name and invite code of any room you start.
On your phone, Lore also keeps your settings, the memes you hid, the demo content and a copy of your room’s memes so it opens quickly.
Lore does not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising ID or browsing history. There are no ads and no analytics or tracking tools, and Lore does not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Who can see it
Memes in a room, with your display name on them, are visible to members of that room. Memes in the Everyone deck are visible to everyone on Lore.
Your votes, reports and blocks are private. Others only see vote totals.
Where it’s kept
Lore’s data is hosted by Supabase (database and sign-in) in the United States, which processes it only to run Lore.
Deleting your data
Your data stays until you delete it. Open the You tab and tap Delete my data twice. This immediately deletes your account, memes, votes, room memberships, reports and blocks. Vote totals you added to other people’s memes stay as anonymous counts, and rooms you started stay for the friends still in them.
Safety
You can report any meme or block anyone in the app. Memes several people report are hidden automatically. We review reports and remove content and people that break the community rules.
Children
Lore is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If a child has used Lore, Delete my data on the You tab removes everything tied to them.
